Well, I hope everyone had an awesome Memorial Day weekend, and grateful to those who've served. We were busy, busy, BUSY.
Weight wise, I did the best I could with social events, and as of today, I am up to 119.8, so exactly 4 pounds up from my LDW.
And I'm okay with that. I figure I needed to feed my body, and also, I did a lot of research about the path I have chosen, including getting the book Primal Blueprint, which helped me (I hope, we'll see over the next few days) figure out the

Days 1 & 2 Update, and on to Day 3
Day 2, I gained a pound and weighed 116.8, and day 3 (today) I am weighing in at 117.7.
Why, you ask? Well, I went a bit overboard, and ate a lot of protein. Both days were in the 1800 calorie range. And that's done now. It felt good, like it was what I needed, so I went with it. But today, I'm taking a different approach, and modeling my day after the experimenters on the Sugar Free Protocol. I'll see how that goes, then do that for a couple of days to bring the weight back in line.

Phase 3 and a new protocol - Sugar Free Protocol - 115.8
I know this comes as something as a shock. And know this, I have no regrets about doing the HCG protocol. It saved my life. I would never have lost all my weight without it.
But it's time to do something else. When I woke up this morning a pound heavier, something in me said enough.
I've been doing a lot of research about high fat/moderate protein/low carb eating, and had already decided that this would be my approach after P2. I had, however, planned to do the 72 weaning off period,

Came in at 463 calories, which is good. I had a ryvita slice (or 20 calories worth) as I was hungry. The hunger is really bothering me, as is the lack of energy. Even with potassium, I'm getting calf cramps and head rushes. But if anyone asks, yes, for 19 pounds it's worth it. I've dealt with worse on diets lol.

And today, the same. I came in at 418 calories today, and added 20 calories of Ryvita crisp bread, I was hungry this afternoon. We'll see if that hurts tomorrow.
We went bowling this afternoon, I had a small amount of Diet Pepsi. I'm just in an "eff-it" mood at this point. No, I won't actually cheat, I'm not crazy, but there have to be some small pleasures. Anyway, enough whining, I don't have long to go. And what other diet can you lose 17 pounds in 4 weeks with? I tried on all my size zero

Round 4 Phase 2 Day 27 - 116.4 (-0.1)
Man, I have to admit I am ready for Phase 3. To the point where I seriously considered not taking my evening dose and just getting through the three days until P3.
Sheer stubbornness determination pulled me through! I really, really, REALLY want to get back to 111-112 (the range of Round 2 and Round 3's LDW). So, on I go. I only have 7 more days, after all. I definitely have learned that the 23 day round is ideal for me, the last one ended at a good time, and I would have been happier last

Man I was mad this morning. Stayed that way through most of the day.
In fact, I almost quit this round of HCG today, I was that frustrated. But I didn't.
What I want is more important to me than how I want to react. So, I had an 'eff it' day. I had a pickle with my cucumber with dinner. I had salt, I had hot sauce. Calorically, I came in at 419.
What will be, will be. This evening, as I sipped my coffee while watching a band at our local coffeehouse, I realized that I need to relax.

Round 4 Phase 2 Day 24 - 117.5 (-0.4)
And there it was, gone...
I mixed up a new batch of HCG this morning, figuring at day 12, the old batch was losing its effectiveness, and judging by the lack of hunger today, I'm thinking I was right. We'll see on the scale tomorrow.
Today was a full day, working, singing at a seniors festival (mostly the other half there, but I did sing a duet with him), and bowling (getting better and better, and that ball is seeming lighter and lighter). Calories came in at 446, I decided at the

I ate 478 calories today, and have been feeling some hunger, not sure if it's real hunger or just feeling mentally ready to move on to Phase 3. However, with only 11(!) more days to go, I'm going to make up a new batch of HCG for tomorrow, so I can get the biggest bang for my buck this last stretch on protocol.

No idea. None. Had a diet soda yesterday, but I've done that before with no issue. So, who knows?

Last night's barbeque was fun, with a little drama thrown in. A neighborhood cat had gotten hurt, and we'd found it on the side of the road. At first we thought it had been hit by a car, but when we took it to the vet (in my arms, and I held the poor guy all through the exam and treatment) it turned out he'd gotten the worst of a fight. Anyway, kudos to the vet who came out on a Saturday night, and kudos to our friends at the barbeque who were all part of making sure the cat wasn't

What a relief, I was somewhat scared that I'd be stuck for a week trying to get that gain off, I've read such horror stories about what a deviation from protocol can do. And now I'm in the teens again! Haven't been here since February, it's a relief to be getting back down here again.

Um. Not sure what happened there. I think it might have been that half glass of Diet Dr. Pepper last night. Just in case, I won't have any for the rest of P2.

It was a busy day work wise, food wise I came in at 448 calories. Just had the usual, beef/tomato/apple for lunch, and chicken/cuke/strawberries for dinner. I am usually a routine eater anyway, especially when I'm maintaining a steady weight, with 4 or 5 regular choices for lunch and dinner and breakfast usually being the same every day with maybe one or two fluctuations, but still, I find it surprising how little I crave any variety at all while on

Another rest day! My first batch of HCG didn't last quite as long as usual, as I had a few days were I took 0.55 rather 0.5 cc doses, I had increased hunger and for me at least, a slightly increased dose to build up the HCG is quite effective with this. As a rule though, people start too high and need to reduce their dose. My dose is the standard 166 IU, except for those few days when I went slightly higher.

Today was fun, we went to our local Farmers Market with the other half's mom, I bought some asparagus and some tomato and cucumber plants that I'll plant tomorrow. It was cute, the other half drove home and got our dogs to surprise me, so that was fun. There are always people with their dogs at this market, and I guess he could tell I was missing our boys.
Right next to the market is a very large Goodwill, so we went there first, I scooped a

Feeling good, a tad tired this evening, so after the movie we're watching (The Switch with Jennifer Anniston) I'm going to hit the hay.
Today I switched back to 96/4 beef and so came in at 434 calories for the day.
I'm not too talkative this evening (obviously) so apologies for the very short post.

Love it!!
Today, the exhaustion that sometimes hits me when the detoxing phase comes along hit full on. I slept almost 2 hours this afternoon, and here it is, 10:15pm, and I'm heading for bed as soon as I write this post. I feel good, I'll take some more potassium before bed, but thems the breaks. I'm sure I'll have my usual energy again tomorrow!
We had our first bowling league night tonight, and my arm and shoulder are tired out too lol. It was fun, the other half said I did very well

I enjoyed seeing that number again! It's 0.1 over Round 1's LDW. Happy happy!
Today was another 475 calorie day, I won't bore you telling you that I ate pretty much what I ate yesterday lol.
I had fun in the kitchen for the other half this evening, I'd been poring over recipe sites looking for recipes to adapt to P3, and had a creative spurt. I bought puff pastry, sauteed onion, celery, mushrooms and collard greens in olive oil, made a white sauce with provolone melted in it, some garlic

Wow was I ever happy to see that number this morning!
Today was another good HCG diet day, I came in at 475 calories again, the usual 93/7 beef, tomato and apple for lunch, and decided to shake it up a little (LOL) with chicken, celery and half a grapefruit for dinner. Man I really enjoyed that celery (not being sarcastic here), it was nice, not too peppery and crisp.
So far I'm feeling good, minimal cravings at this point, which is normal for me at this point in the protocol. That is,
