R3 P4 Days 43-46

Weights:

Day 43 -123.6

Day 44 -122.7

Day 45 -124.3

(today) Day 46 - 123.5

Day 43: Day 42's clean eating efforts paid off nicely in a half pound loss. Today, however, was a failed egg day... got into the cheese. At least it was still protein, but arrrgh. I still lost 0.9, but those slips drive me nuts.

Day 44: In my efforts to stay away from sweets, I was overeating on other foods. I finally gave in, had a poptart of all things and the sugar craving for once was gone -

Days 41 & 42

Not much to say except that I'm still struggling.

Weights: Day 41 - 123.2 (up 0.5), Day 42 - 124.1 (up 0.9)

I did great yesterday (Day 41) in terms of not having any sugar, however, we had sausage for dinner, when will I learn that between the salt and the fat (and frequently the hidden sugar), sausage does not agree with me? Oh and I also had a little too much cheese.

Today has not been that great. It started with apple and cheese for breakfast, but then, I talked myself out of it.

R3 P4 Days 39 & 40

Weights: Day 39 - 122.1 (a gain of 1.1) Day 40 122.7 (a gain of 0.5)

Day 39's gain was due (I think) to some new supplements that I tried (melatonin and 5-HTP, neither of which did what I needed them to do). Frustrating.

Day 40's gain was due to birthday celebrations, the other half's Mom turned 71, so there was a late dinner and cake. I expected a gain.

I also expect a gain tomorrow. I just couldn't leave sweets alone today. TOM is looming. Today I focused on my mantra - "I am safe.

R3 P4 Day 38 121.0 (-0.6, LDW +8.2)

I'm glad for that loss, hoping for another tomorrow.

Today was full of veggies and meats, with sugar still challenging me. I will get to have a day without it. I will. It just wasn't today lol. Mind you, it was 2 small slips. But still, small as they were, they were slips. Tomorrow will be better.

R3 P4 Days 36 & 37

Weights:

Day 36 - 122.1 (a gain of 2.7 because of sushi, yep you can bet it'll be another 4 years before I have it again!)

Day 37 - 121.6 (a loss of 0.5, not the best apple and cheese day I've ever had - my fault, too much cheese, not enough apples, the balance is important)

Well, apparently I haven't lost my inability to tolerate rice! I really wanted the sushi, I'd been craving it for months, I decided to see what would happen. Now I know things haven't changed.

R3 P4 Days 34 & 35

Weights: Day 34: 121.0 It was frustrating to not reach the teens within the day, but I persevered.

Day 35 (Today): 119.8 I was thrilled to see this number this morning! My day was a tad carb heavy, we (the other half and I) went to get vision tests and new glasses that we'll get in a week or so. It's hell getting old lol. I can't wait to have them though, it'll be nice to feel better driving at night, and I plan to go on a reading spree once I have my reading glasses!

R3 P4 Day 33 - 122.1 (+2.7, LDW +9.3)

EEEEEK!!! It was a nice meal, and absolutely adorable of the other half to spoil me by taking me to dinner, but no matter how good the meal was (and it was GREAT), nothing is worth feeling like this. And I've done this to myself way too often of late.

Today has been a mostly successful apple and cheese day. I slipped with some chocolate (valentines day chocolates, now gone, replaced with a commitment to myself to avoid sugar at all costs).

I was thrilled to see a little release, the further away (down) from that 119-120 border I get, the better!

Today was an egg day. With a few slips. A couple of gingersnaps, some chocolate. Yes, I'm still fighting my sugar demon. I'm going to have to break out the l-glutamine and Candida-G to fight this.

I'll figure out what to call this time eventually lol.

After a day that still had a tad too much sugar in it, although a lot less than previous days, I experimented with some corn spaghetti (I'm always looking for pasta that I can tolerate, being gluten intolerant), and a 1.4 gain wasn't bad. Wheat pasta in the same amounts (a normal sized serving according to the package, 2 oz dry) would have yielded a 3 or 4 pound gain.

Update

I'm getting bad at daily blogging, I'll have to do something about that!

I'm also trying to decide what to call this phase of my life. Technically phase 4 is three weeks in length. I may or may not do another round of HCG this spring, right now I'm focusing on maintenance and also getting back to my LDW, perhaps a few pounds lower, through clean eating mixed with correction days. Just want to try it this way first, before making any decisions about another round.

So phase 4 doesn't fit.

Superbowl Weekend Catchup

Weights: Friday, 117.7, no idea about Saturday and Sunday, Monday I weighed 121.2, and today I was 121.1.

It was a great weekend away, in a mountain vacation home with friends. Food was semi out of my control in that I couldn't control what was being served (the organizer of our weekend is a fireman who cooks for his firehouse, so he was in charge of the food, which was delicious), however, I did my best to pick and choose the foods that would be best for me. Update on R3 P4 - Days 18, 19, 20

Which have passed in a cold medicine induced haze. Ah joy oh bliss! I go years with maybe one cold a winter, and this year, I'm getting hit big time.

Anyway, the numbers are as follows:

Day 18 - 119.1 (+1.0) no real idea as to why I gained.

Day 19 - 118.0 (-1.1).

Day 20 (today) - 118.4 (+0.4) Blaming this one on a lot of cold medicine.
